If you make 30K per hour farming and love farming, then you decide you need to capture shield of judgment in mineral springs, you should an LBS certified runner to help you out. Instead of spending an hour building a team on your own, only to spend 5 minutes to figure out that team is terrible, and then 2 hours wandering around mineral springs with 60% death penalty a people dropping out just to figure out where the right boss is this time, you could hire one of my grads and capture that in 20 minutes. They would probably charge 30 to 50K for the service, but you still are better off than spending all that time you could be making much more money and doing what you enjoy in the game. Its a cost benefit analysis, and hundreds of individuals have decided that our service is worth it, not to mention thousands of groups when they realize how quickly an expert can help them get to the point where they can start having the fun they want.

Hey Ruoenkruez Tudor, I'm not actively seeking new students, but I have promised a few that having been saving for a long time that they could join. I charge 15 ecto now to join (and will accept gold, 120K, on those rare occassions when I have a little room for it, which is not the case right now). The reason I am not seeking students actively any longer is I want to give full attention to the students and current graduates. Consequently, I will allow more to join if they want to learn my secrets and fully enjoy the running part of the game, but there is no longer a promise of employment for me after graduation, like there is for the current students (and those few people who have been saving for a long time to get in). If you are still interested in joining, knowing that I may not have any business for you when you finish, you are welcome to do so, but you must pay the same tuition as other students.
And finally, without further ado, here is a screenshot to thank everyone for their help in the academy and in fights to the forgemaster:

Gotta say, after my first time using the services provided here this evening I am utterly impressed. Thanks again to Nakora the Swift and Lady Blue Steel for your help this evening it is truely appriciated.
I would also be very interested in this little endeavor of yours but I shall wait until there is a) more time afforded to you for new students or b) I just say the heck with it, pay the tuition, and bite the bullet and grab the manuals and such off of you.. probably will end up doing the second thing
Anywho again as I said in game I will definetly recomend you all to anyone that is looking for this type of thing in the future

There was a lot of commenting about Iron Mines -> Copperhammer.
The run is possible solo. I have done it myself from Copperhammer -> Iron Mines and Iron Mines -> Copperhammer. (I was rushing two friends, one level 12, one level 7)
The only time I see it as impossible (all running, no fighting) is if you have Barl Stormsiege and the Heretic at the choke (they are both mesmers). It is at that point where you will be screwed, because both mesmers will cast Crippling Anguish on you, one after another, making hex removal worthless.
Apart from that, the run is very possible. I was able to do it after 5 tries (never having attempted that run before) and when I didn't get a Heretic/Mesmer boss spawn.

p.s Nice Fissure sets, if I didnt blow all my gold on weapons, I'd probably have them all Fissured myself. LOL.

The ascension run from Lion's Arch takes almost exactly 2 hours. Obviously, if you are closer (Sanctum Cay, Augury, etc.) it is faster, and if you are further (Yak's Bend, Ascelon) it takes longer and costs more. Our definite preference is to run you from wherever you want to be ran, but all things being equal, a Lion's Arch start is the best value.
We can do the run at almost any time. Message me or anyone who has graduated and combat certified in my academy (Elita Coldheart, Nakora the Swift, The Blurr, Chiara, Giulietta, etc.) and you will be able to get a run. If you find me on-line, I'll coordinate and get you one of my best runners. Because we have a professional service with multiple runners, we have multiple people who can run you to accommodate your schedule, but that is also the same reason we don't do discounts for subsequent runs, as it may be a different person who is rushing you at that point.
Thanks for your interest, and I will have someone contact you.
P.S. I like those fissure set, thanks. Especially my rangers, which you would appreciate, I think. The warrior and mesmer look incredible, but that ranger even more so.

Re:
This is one of the better ideas I think I've ever heard of! I would love the opportunity to enroll in this fine institution! I have been drok runnin since before the patch. I have over 50 sucessful runs pre-patch, and about 25 since the patch. It has indeed become more challenging to complete this run. I would love to learn from a master runner, since you can never have too much constructive critisism. My in-game is Oblivion Final/Immortal/Unending. I should be on one of those names at all times. Equipment and cashflow isn't an issue. I would just love the opportunity to see how well I fare against the best of the best. Plus, being LBS certified would be a wonderful thing!
Thanks!

Hockster and Oblivion Final, thanks for your interest. We have had so many people want to be involved in the academy from so many different walks of life and levels of experience it has really been great to watch. I will continue to accept students at a tuition price of 15 ecto. For the first classes of the academy, there was an understanding that people who did very well in the academy would be able to work for me upon graduation. That is part of the academy offer that has primarily changed. I have enough graduates and anticipated graduates from the charter classes to keep up with the demands for my rushes and running service. Consequently, both of you and others in the future are welcome to enroll and encouraged to get involved. What you are primarily paying for, though, now, is not the chance to work directly with me but the chance to have my manuals of build specifics and strategy and future updates to those manuals, if any, and the opportunity the take the graduation test with me present to become LBS-certified.
The academy has always been a little "independent study" in the sense that you read the manuals, practice difficult runs with my exact build and modifications you want to try, ask me unlimited questions, watch (and assist) me and academy graduates on our runs, and then take the test to graduate. So, those willing to join and not concerned about me giving them specific business may still do so. I will look for you guys in game next time I am on. Thanks.
The Academy is a fantastic community, and even when I am not on, students can get lots of help and advice from other students and graduates, including price checks, build advice, and marketing tips. At some point I may turn the Academy into a guild for those who want to continue PvPing and so forth together, but I have been hesitant to leave my current guild (which I am the leader of, and though only a handful of us are active, is an extension of my Halo 2 clan of around 300 extremely active players, so I don't want to abandon them, even if most of them spend all their time with Halo 2 and not Guild Wars.)

That is fine and great and dandy. As I have already done most of anything doable in the game, I just wish to broaden my horizions. I would love to branch into a group of people that take running seriously, as running is one of my favorite past times. The simple knowledge, entertainment, and networking will be worth it all. Hope to talk at you sometime soon!

Rangers make great runners around the desert and ascelon to lions arch, but they do not have the armor and superior absoption rune it takes to make the hardest runs and rushes in the game. Rangers are extremely fast for some runs, and a warrior primary ranger secondary is a great way to go for speed, but my build is more than just running, it is a true rusher build, with the right allocations for combat and running, carrying people through missions and so forth. That is the answer to both question: why rangers aren't admitted to my school and why there are so many difficult requirements. Getting certified in the Academy is something truly meaningful. My graduates can do some pretty amazing runs.
Oblivion, I wasn't planning to play any tonight, but I'll try to jump on for a few minutes to sign you up.

Ranger running FTW!
I like running with my ranger so much, i might level up a W/Mo just so i can do some real runs.
If i screw up once on a simple run (yaks to beacons, but only at that first bridge), i might die.. ranger armor just isnt good enough for running around in high level areas. Anything before kryta is okay, and the desert is okay.
